Spelling Bee

Any 7th or 8th grade student is welcome to try out for the Spelling Bee. To become a contestant, students must take a written test. Sign up for the written part of the bee begins between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The written segment is given the first Friday after Christmas break. The top 15 students compete in an oral spell down on the following Friday in front of the student body. Students may even be invited to attend regional, state, or national spelling bees. Listen for announcements around Thanksgiving to sign up in Mrs. Moody's room.
