Shreve Elementary Latchkey Program

  • The school day will be extended to offer a before school program that will run from 7:00 - 9:00 AM.  This will include a breakfast program (not included with pre-pay), homework assistance, learning games/activities, and other warm-up activities for the start of the day. 
     
  • An after school program will run from 3:30 - 6:00 PM.  This will include a snack time, academic clubs, homework assistance, arts/music/cultural experiences, recreation, and more.  Guest programming will be provided during this after school time to allow for the array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs. Parents will be charged $3.00 per 15 minutes if they are late picking up their child. We will expect parents to be at the school at 6:00 or before. 
     
  • A $25 registration fee is charged (limit 1 fee per family). A reduced rate is available for those that prepay for service. 
     
  •  Fees:  The prepay tuition fee is $3.00 a session and the postpay rate is $4.50/Hr (zero to 6.9 hrs) , $53.00 for a partial week (7 to 24.9), $68.00 for a full week (25 hours and up). The collection of fees assures your child’s continued access to the program. Preschool aged students are not accepted. Students who are absent for three weeks will be considered withdrawn from the program. Post-pay billing is done in 15 minute increments. Tuition fees will be billed monthly. All payments will be due 10 days after billing. Students will not be permitted to attend if tuition is not prepaid. The collection of fees assures your child’s place.
     
    If it is determined during the school year that there is a need for more or fewer days per week of childcare, please notify us as soon as possible and a new contract can be signed and take affect the following month.
     
  • Breakfast and Snacks - These are available and billed through student lunch accounts. Federal Free/Reduced Lunch programs are also applied to the Breakfast program.  Consult with Mr. Schindewolf regarding options for snacks if you are eligible for free/reduced breakfast.
